Does an interpolated image help the digital microscope to gain a higher magnification?
Published:2014-04-22 16:03:53    Text Size:【BIG】【MEDIUM】【SMALL

We use microscopes to help us view tiny specimen clearly by capturing amplified images with fine detailed message and true color expression. But an interpolated image adds many jaggies which never existed in  the specimen.

Furthermore, please remember that Interpolation can enlarge images big enough just like a projector did. A projector can easily let a 2.5 inch image of an ant fill an entire classroom wall, but it could not have the RGB dots of a color printing be separated by projecting.

So we conclude that interpolation is no use in increasing the microscopes power.
